Injection molding will more or less encounter this or that kind of problem, this is normal. As long as there is a problem, there will be a solution to the problem. There are many ways to solve the problem, but they are all targeted at the right medicine. Listed below are several common problems in injection molding and their solutions.
Problem 1: The plastic is wavy. It may be that the gate or other parts are narrow. When the molten plastic pushes the solidified plastic part forward, the surface produces ripples.
Solution:
1. Increase the injection diameter. 2. Increase the injection nozzle and mold temperature. 3. Increase the height of the barrel. 4. Increase the injection speed. 5. Slow down the injection speed. 6. Change the mold cooling water inlet to keep it away from the gate. 7 . Expand the gate.
Problem 2: The plastic part has a silver pattern. It may be due to the water content of the plastic, uneven mixing, air trapping during injection molding, and excessive additives or release agents.
Solution: 1. Strengthen the backpressure. 2. Slow down the injection speed. 3. Clean the barrel. 4. Increase the mold temperature. 5. Change the gate position. 6. Expand the runner and gate. 7. Dry the material. 8. Install infrared rays in the material door Lights.
Problem 3: Poor plastic interface. It may be because the temperature of the plastic is too low to melt, or because of insufficient gas excretion, two or more shunts are mixed and hair-like fine lines or bubbles are produced.
Solution: 1. Increase the material temperature. 2. Increase the injection temperature. 3. Increase the injection speed. 4. The cold pool outside the seam line. 5. Set the air release. 6. Change the gate position or gate. 7. Do not use a mold release agent. 8. Switch to low-viscosity materials that are easy to flow.
Problem 4: Extruding plastic while closing the mold. It may be because the material temperature and injection pressure are too high, or the clamping force is insufficient.
Solution: 1. Reduce injection pressure and cylinder curing temperature. 2. Shorten injection time. 3. Reduce injection speed. 4. Switch to a high clamping force machine. 5. Rebuild the clamping surface to tightly fit and clean the clamping surface. 6. Switch to low viscosity Material.
Problem 5: There are dents on the surface of the plastic part. It may be because the surface of the plastic part was cooled in time, because of its surface dents.
Solution: 1. Increase the injection rate. 2. Increase the internal pressure of the mold groove. 3. Reduce the curing temperature of the barrel. 4. Increase the injection flow rate. 5. Increase the injection speed. 6. Extend the injection time. 7. Make the mold temperature uniform. 8. Change the gate Position 9. Expand gate 10. Shorten mold runner.
From this, it can be seen that the plastic is wavy and patterned, the plastic interface is poor, the plastic is extruded while the mold is closed, and the surface of the plastic part is dented, etc., are the problems. Each problem has a corresponding solution, and each solution can be divided into about 7 small measures. Each method is a solution thought out from the cause of the problem. Because of the reasons, the corresponding methods can be used in a targeted manner.
